Who We Are
Who We Are
Statement of Faith
- The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, fully trustworthy and the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Scripture is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training believers in righteousness.
- God
We believe there is one true God, eternally existing in three persons — God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit — each fully God, yet there is only one God. He is eternal, holy, all-powerful, all-knowing, and perfect in justice, love, and wisdom.
- Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is God the Son, the eternal Word made flesh. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as a substitute for sinners, was bodily resurrected from the dead, and ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father. He will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead.
- The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells believers at the moment of salvation, sanctifies them, guides them into truth, and empowers them for godly living and service.
- Humanity and Sin
We believe human beings were created in God’s image, but through disobedience fell into sin. As a result, all people are sinful by nature and separated from God, unable to save themselves.
- Salvation
We believe salvation is a free gift of God’s grace received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation cannot be earned by human effort or good works but is given by God through repentance and trust in Christ’s death and resurrection on our behalf.
- The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, a spiritual fellowship of all believers. The Church is called to worship God, proclaim the gospel, fellowship together, disciple believers, and serve the world in love.
- Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe water baptism symbolizes a believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. We also believe in the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice until He returns.
- Christian Living and Sanctification
We believe believers are called to grow in Christlikeness through obedience to Scripture, prayer, fellowship, and the empowering work of the Holy Spirit. We are to live holy lives that reflect God’s love and righteousness.
- The Second Coming
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and gloriously in power and glory to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal Kingdom. Believers eagerly await His return as their blessed hope.
- Eternal Destiny
We believe all people will be resurrected: the saved to eternal life in God’s presence, and the unsaved to eternal separation from God.
To see spiritually revived believers, strengthened churches, and transformed communities living in the fullness of Christ and impacting nations for God’s glory.
To raise and equip devoted believers through prayer, evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and in-country missions, while demonstrating Christ’s love through compassion and service to the poor and vulnerable.
